Overview
Lownto levels the playing field for Magento Opensource in comparison to Adobe Commerce with App Builder. The project was born from the need to democratize powerful integration capabilities that were previously only available in the enterprise Adobe Commerce platform.
Key Features
- Generic Plugins and Observers: No need to write event-specific PHP code
- NodeRED Integration: Visual programming interface for complex workflows
- Dynamic Configuration: Add observers via multi-select lists
- Zero Downtime Updates: No Magento redeploy required when adding new integrations
- Open Source: Available on GitHub for the community
Technical Architecture
The module provides a bridge between Magento 2’s event system and NodeRED, allowing you to:
- Select from pre-defined Magento events
- Configure processing logic in NodeRED
- Deploy changes without touching PHP code
- Process integrations in a third-party application
Demo
Visit demo.lownto.com to see a closing down sale of Luma. This is standard Luma with sample-data where everything else (CMS, CSS, catalog price) is defined and implemented outside of Magento in NodeRED.
Why Lownto?
The name comes from Low/No Code + to (as in “get to the solution faster”). The goal is to make Magento Opensource more accessible to businesses that need powerful integrations without enterprise-level budgets.
